Breast Surgery
- Breast Augmentation - Breast augmentation (mammoplasty) is a procedure that can be performed for a number of reasons including: enlarging small breasts, underdeveloped breasts, breasts that have decreased in size after childbirth or as a reconstructive means for women who have had breast surgery.
- Breast Lift - Breast lift (mastopexy) is a procedure done as the skin loses its elasticity and other factors such as pregnancy, nursing, and the force of gravity take their toll. The breast lift operation is a procedure to raise and reshape sagging breasts.
- Breast Reduction - Breast reduction can either be performed for physical relief or cosmetic improvement. Very large, sagging breasts that restrict activities and cause physical discomfort trouble most women who choose to have breast reductions.
- Breast Reconstruction - Breast reconstruction is a procedure to restore your breast following mastectomy for breast cancer. In many cases immediate reconstruction at the time of mastectomy can be performed, either with placement of an implant or as a staged proceedure with tissue expansion and then placement of the implant at a second stage. Alloderm [acelluar dermal matrix] is added when indicated. Delayed reconstruction more commonly requires a TRAM flap or latissimus dorsi flap to bring in vasculariszed tissue. Appropriate options are reviewed with you during the consultation.
Body Contouring
- Liposuction - Liposuction, the most popular cosmetic surgery in America , is the surgical technique used to improve the body shape by removing localized areas of fat. Liposuction is a procedure that can reduce the number of fat cells in areas such as the hips, stomach, thighs, and buttocks.
- Tummy Tuck - A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is a procedure which removes excess skin and fat from the lower and middle abdomen to tighten the muscles in the abdomen wall. People who experience a protruding abdomen, weakened stomach muscles, sagging skin, or excess fatty tissues in the abdomen may be a candidate for the procedure.
- Body Contouring (following massive weight loss) - Losing weight is a major accomplishment. Whether you did it through diet and exercise or a procedure like bariatric surgery, you should be congratulated. After massive weight loss you will probably be left with significant hanging skin all over your body. Many different areas of your body including face, arms, breasts, abdomen, and thighs will seem as though the skin just hangs. Body contouring surgery can help to reshape these areas. more
- Torsoplasty following Massive Weight Loss - Massive weight loss, defined as loss greater than 100 pounds, either from diet and exercise or from bariatric surgery (such as gastric bypass), can leave areas in which your skin is loose and sagging. Circumferential torsoplasty addresses your excess skin and fat in the abdomen, flanks, back and buttocks by extending the traditional abdominoplasty excision around the entire body. more
- Laser Liposuction – Laser body contouring allows suction assisted lipectomy for an area of localized excess to be done under local anesthesia with clean removal of fat and a potential for tightening of your skin. Laser Liposuction with Sciton TempAssure allows for direct measurement of internal temperature during the procedure. This increases the safety and efficiency of this procedure for the melting of adipose tissue and heating of dermal tissue to promote skin tightening.
Facial Procedures
- Eyelid Surgery - Eyelid surgery (Blepharoplasty) restores a more youthful appearance by reducing the fat and extra skin around the eyelid area. The procedure is beneficial for people who have bags under the eyes, wrinkled, drooping eyelids or sagging skin in the eyebrow area which can give the entire face a tired or sad expression.
- Otoplasty - What are the options for protruding ears? Disproportional ears can lead to anxiety and teasing for children and young adults. The Otoplasty surgery repositions your (or your child’s) ears by pulling them closer to the head. more
